The Problem

Among Tulsa residents aged 65+, 27 percent live on less than $20,000 a year. Many older adults have trouble obtaining jobs and, in Tulsa, only 19 percent are working, which can contribute to financial insecurity.

The Solution

City leaders and citizen volunteers work with adults aged 50+ on limited incomes to increase their financial resilience through self-employment. Citizen volunteers provide workshops and coaching to support entrepreneurs, guide development, and supplement the income of older adults.
